What surprises do exhibitors have in store for us at the next edition of Modefabriek? And what do they actually think about Modefabriek's relocation? Rob Bruinsma from agency R&B Concept (Drykorn, Copenhagen Studios and Liebeskind) is the first to share this inside information with us.

R&B Concept will present the collections of Copenhagen Studios (shoes) and Liebeskind Berlin (bags) at Modefabriek in January 2025. “In addition to these 2 brands, we have been representing Drykorn on the Dutch market for 27 years. Since 2019, we have been responsible for the sales of Copenhagen Studios and since 2024 for Liebeskind for the Netherlands. The three brands complement each other very well, and with this selection, we are specifically targeting the boutiques that we are already serving well with Drykorn."

Modefabriek, re-imagined

Copenhagen Studios and Liebeskind will be showcased in The Fashion Gallery at the upcoming edition of Modefabriek. Rob is positive about the relocation and the new concept of Modefabriek. “I think the new location is a great move. I hear from many retailers that they’re definitely planning to visit. Everyone is curious about the renewal, especially since there are hardly any trade shows left, even internationally. Moreover, I hope the new setup will also bring more atmosphere and sociability. A trade show is more than just visiting stands and leaving. The key is to keep the audience engaged and create buzz until the end of the day, so that both the brands and the visitors can inform and inspire each other.”

Copenhagen Studios: minimalist

The footwear brand Copenhagen Studios has been sold in the Netherlands by R&B Concept for 5 years. “It was an immediate hit and is now sold to 70 percent of our Drykorn customers. In addition to high-end shoe stores, we mainly focus on better boutiques to clearly tell our story. The key terms here are minimalist, clean, Scandinavian, fashion, and good fits.' The range includes various styles, from sneakers and boots to feminine slingbacks and mules. 'In the sneaker field, we see not only our iconic chunky sole (CPH40) but also many innovations, such as retro styles and refined models. In the contemporary segment, the slingback is expected to be a big trend for the upcoming season.”

Liebeskind Berlin: underground

Bag brand Liebeskind Berlin, like Copenhagen Studios, is part of the S. Oliver Group group. In fact, the brand was originally founded by the people behind Copenhagen Studios. 'They were recently asked to breathe new life into the design of Liebeskind, bringing back the signature underground Berlin look the brand was once known for. The focus has also shifted back entirely to bags. Now, the brand is stronger than ever. That’s why we’ve included Liebeskind in our offering and will be showcasing the renewed look at Modefabriek. From the summer edition of Modefabriek, we gained 20 new customers for Liebeskind, so we have high expectations for the next edition."
