Guest curator

Lidewij Edelkoort was guest curator of the current summer issue of See All This. Titled 'The Wardrobe as Art Collection', this edition explores the dynamic nature of clothing and its impact on us, both positive and negative. Through Lidewij Edelkoort's visionary perspective, the reader discovers how being overdressed can be a social dilemma, how the transition from one colour to another can be almost a geographical choice, and how a wardrobe can be put together as art.

Changing course

In March, Lidewij Edelkoort was named one of the 50 most influential women worldwide by the international design magazine Dezeen. Ten years ago, she published her famous Anti_Fashion Manifesto, in which she calls on the fashion world to change course. She denounced the neglect, abuse, boredom, fear, and greed in the fashion world. She concludes that little has changed in the last decade, but there is a hopeful solution: "New ways of seeing and experiencing fashion need to be explored, as the only cure for our monstrous overconsumption is now in the hands of us as collectors rather than consumers."
