re_USED re_SATIN
For the expo ‘re_USED re_SATIN’, the Zeeuws Museum researched the origin and future of textiles together with scientists and designers. Fashion designer Sjaak Hullekes, for example, who originally comes from Zierikzee in Zeeland, turned the damask into a new look. The exhibition runs until 11 September 2022.

2Doc Kort: HENK
Students at the Amsterdam Rietveld Academy know him as the caretaker, but behind Henk's Shakison's smile lies a whole life story. Wrapped in pieces from an exuberant fashion collection inspired by his life, the Surinamese-Dutch Henk explains his idiosyncratic view on integration and success.
Henk's optimism and apparent inviolability do not stem from a 'beautiful Dutch society without racism', but mainly from his own resilience. Through his life story and his light, sometimes contrarian attitude towards the multicultural world in which we live, we discover his original view on themes such as migration, fatherhood and happiness
