In Meet the Buyers at Modefabriek we will weekly introduce you to buyers from different multi-brand stores, sustainable stores and amazing boutiques. This week we would like to introduce you to Barbara van Leyen from Tally-Ho.
Tally-Ho is a chain of women's fashion stores in North Holland. It is a family business and has existed since 1966. Their focus is fashion, creativity and sustainability. They prefer to sell small, newly started brands and sustainable brands. The oldest store is in Bergen, 400 m2 and still partly authentically furnished. The other stores are in Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Egmond aan zee, Heiloo and Hoorn and they also have a webshop. Their main brands are Another Label, Armed Angels, Bellerose, By-bar, Fabienne Chapot, Kuyichi, Levi's, Minimum, Numph, Pom Amsterdam, Selected Femme, Scotch &Soda, and Veja.
Barbara is the owner of Tally-Ho, and therefore ultimately responsible. Her daily work includes motivating and inspiring the team, purchasing and reordering, ensuring the Tally-Ho appearance.
Why is it relevant for you as a buyer to visit a trade fair such as Modefabriek?
For me, it's really about networking, meeting colleagues and representatives, and of course looking at the new collections and looks of different brands.
What are you most looking forward to in the coming purchasing season?
Next season I hope we can meet again, I missed that a lot. I assume that next season will show a lot of innovation and change. Especially in the field of creativity and sustainability.
