Meet the buyers at Modefabriek: Sans online

In "Meet the Buyers at Modefabriek," we talk to retailers and buyers about their personal favorites, what inspires them, and what they are looking for at the upcoming trade show.. This time: Jorien Braakhuis, buyer women's fashion at Sans online. 

What's on the buying list for summer 2025? 

"We would like to add some more brands, but we are mainly looking for suppliers with whom we can make links for the webshop, who have a large stock and who manage photography and marketing. Then you often end up with the bigger brands, however nice the collections of some smaller brands might be."

Which brand is your own favourite?

"I really like Lofty Manner at the moment, because of the prints and colours."

Why are trade shows like Modefabriek relevant to you? 

"Especially for fun. We enjoy seeing and talking to everyone again. Not only suppliers, but also other entrepreneurs. And of course, we look at what the brands are showing and if we come across something nice, we will go after it."

Best find at a fashion fair ever?

"Geisha is a good example. Three years back, we stepped in after Modefabriek and that is one of our best women's brands in sales right now. We also came across Esqualo at Modefabriek and we have a great collaboration now.”

What's on your wish list this season?

"We would really like to add Yaya to our offering. But due to our large-scale online activities, that is unfortunately not in the cards. Personally, I don't have anything on my wish list. My wishes are more about travelling than a particular bag or shoes."

Best holiday country? 

"We travelled through Costa Rica for a two weeks last year and we will definitely go back again. We have a nice list of countries we want to go to, including South Africa, Australia and Japan."

Where do you get the most inspiration? 

"On Tiktok and Instagram. But I also pay close attention to what our young part-timers are wearing and what they are working on."

Where do you like to shop? 

"We like to go to Arnhem, but Enschede and Utrecht are nice too. I like Sissy-Boy as a concept. And I really like Søstrene Grene, for craft stuff and things for the kitchen. And apart from that, I mainly go to the shops my daughter likes to go to."

What do you prefer to wear yourself?

"I basically always wear trousers with trainers and something cool on top, like a sweater. I am currently a fan of New Balance sneakers. They are beautiful and are very comfortable."
