Distributor LEXSON is joining Modefabriek with three women's brands, setting up its own LEXSON-avenue with its own knitwear label avec ēlan, influencer-loved Varley and the women's fashion line by Swedish jacket specialist Elvine.
LEXSON is setting up its own LEXSON-avenue at the upcoming Modefabriek with a 25-meter-long stand, presenting three women's brands from the distributor's portfolio. In the same atmosphere as the showrooms in Breda, the stories behind the brands will be told at Modefabriek. And according to LEXSON founder Maarten Janse, there is plenty to tell.
avec ēlan
At Modefabriek, LEXSON presents the fourth collection of its own knitwear label avec ēlan. The brand shows that not all knits have to be "woolly," choosing not only minimalist silhouettes but also sparkling palates in strong colours. "The response to avec ēlan is a really great," explains brand manager Ket Rouwette. "We now have 50 good stores on board. The collection is developing like a comet. We distinguish ourselves from other brands because we also bring knitwear without wool, so it wears comfortably and doesn't itch. People really like that. Collection 04 is a great mix & match collection, where layering is key. All items combine perfectly, but there are also statement pieces on their own. 'As always, the key is in the styling.'
Varley
The distributor's latest addition is British-American women's fashion brand Varley, which LEXSON will sell starting with its winter 2024 collection. Worldwide, the brand is already in more than 700 stores, including Net-a-porter, Mytheresa, Selfridges and Anthropologie. Last summer, the first brand store opened in London. "We've been following the brand for a long time and tried really hard to bring it in," Maarten says. "The brand is extremely popular with influencers like Claire Rose and Vivian Hoorn. The collection is inspired by the lifestyle in Los Angeles and London. It's fashion, with a bit of athleisure. We notice a lot of interest from the market and we already have the first requests from top retailers and the coolest influencers. I see incredible potential for Varley in the Benelux."
Elvine
LEXSON will also bring the women's line of jacket specialist Elvine to Modefabriek. It is one of the first brands LEXSON started with and it is still their biggest brand. Maarten: "In recent seasons we have scored even better with the women's line than with the men's line. In the current season, Elvine has scored insanely well in resales, despite the late start of the winter season due to the warm weather. I think it's because of the specialism. And the strong value-for-money proposition. Elvine makes high-quality, functional and timeless jackets for a very good price, which are also super sustainable."
Modefabriek
Maarten can't wait to present "his" women's brands and is looking forward to the upcoming edition of Modefabriek. "I expect that retailers and buyers are looking for new brands and parties with whom they can enter into a real partnership. We can offer them both. In the Benelux and Germany, Modefabriek is actually the only good fashion fair left. Because of the focus on women's fashion and the internationalization I think it will be a great fair. We are extremely looking forward to it. We look forward to working with Modefabriek and all the great fashion retailers in the Netherlands to make it a top event."
